Did you know that your subconscious mind accepts as true the words you say? Those words attract corresponding events and situations into your life. By changing what you are telling yourself, you can change what you attract in life. So why not choose only positive statements, in order to get positive results?
Think about it. Many people repeat in their minds negative words and statements concerning themselves and the situations and events in their lives. Consequently, they create undesirable situations. But words work both ways, they can be used to build or they can be used to destroy. It is the way we use them that determines whether they are going to bring good or harmful results.
Pay attention to the words you repeat in your mind and say out loud. Do you think or say things such as:
Change your thoughts…change your life.
So, what is an affirmation? An affirmation is a carefully formatted statement that you write down and repeat to yourself frequently. This process, pushes the subconscious mind to take action and to strive to make the positive statement come true. The conscious mind, the mind you think with, starts this process, and then the subconscious mind takes charge.
When you use affirmations, you have a greater chance of achieving success and for improving your life. For an affirmation to be effective, it needs to be present tense, positive, personal, and specific.
